Open season. 26.1 dropped and we ran it first thing Friday morning. Wall balls are one of those movements that seem harmless until you are forty reps deep and the ball starts feeling like a cinder block. The ladder format made it worse. You climb from 20 to 30 to 40 to 66, interspersed with box jump overs to keep the heart rate honest, then you turn around and come back down. Nobody was coasting through this one.
Seven of us lined up in the dark to take on 26.1. Good crew. Marsh was grinding through the high sets without breaking. Rusty kept a steady pace the whole way. Ensign and Builder showed up ready to work and did not slow down. That is the thing about this group. Nobody needs a pep talk. You just look left, look right, and get after it.
After the Open workout we hung from the pull-up bar for three minutes accumulated. Two sets, no drama. Just grip work to cap off the morning. Simple does not mean easy.
Finished up, hit the sauna, and went our separate ways. Friday morning done right. The weekend means nothing if you do not earn it first.
