Pulled the 2011 CrossFit Games Open workout off the shelf this morning. 11.1. The one I did in Key West back in the day with the CrossFit crew at the Sunset celebration area. Different gym, different decade, same deal. Double unders and snatches for ten minutes, see where you land.

Warmed up the barbell work with Mike Holland beforehand. Power snatches building to 135, hang power cleans up to 175, and some power jerks at 155. The kind of work that gets the central nervous system talking before you start a clock. Then Chinese planks for four rounds because apparently we like suffering before we suffer.

Felt strong on the Open workout. Double unders were mostly unbroken which is not always the case at 5am. Broke the snatches into fives instead of my usual strategy of going out hot and dying at the end. Five full rounds plus 33 reps into the sixth. Haven't looked at old scores yet but the body felt right. Moose and June were posted up as the official dogs of the day, keeping the energy where it needed to be.

Good way to close the week. Eight of us in the garage before dawn, a classic Open workout on the board, and the weekend ahead. That's the deal.
