Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Monday morning, still dark, hotel gym that barely qualifies as one. A couple dumbbells, a mirror, and enough floor space to get after it. Good enough.

Started the morning with a walk on the beach in the cold. Wind coming off the water, sand hard and flat at low tide. Cleared the head. Then back to the hotel to flip cards and get the work in. Deck of Cards is one of those workouts that sounds simple until you're halfway through and the burpees keep coming. Twenty-two minutes of push-ups, burpees, sit-ups, and air squats. No barbell, no rack, no problem. You work with what you have.

Road workouts are a different kind of discipline. Nobody watching, nobody counting on you to show up. Just you and whatever excuse you can talk yourself out of. The deal is the deal, whether you're in the garage in Chattanooga or a hotel gym on the Carolina coast.

Cold shower, black coffee, back on the road. The streak stays alive.
